This class is required by the state of North Carolina in order for you to apply for a North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit. This is a state mandated eight (8) hour class plus a live fire shooting practical.

Registration and prepayment is required. ***When registering you must register with your name as it appears on your North Carolina Drivers License***  The online payment system is currently down, you will be requested to bring payment for the class by cash or check on the morning of the class. Please notify me if you decide not to attend as space is very limited and want to give others the opportunity.

Class starts at 8:00 AM and will be held at theCharlotte Rifle Pistol Club Indoor Shooting Range, 13098 Blenheim Lane, Matthews NC 28105. Please arrive by 7:45 AM to complete check in. This is a mandated 8-hour class plus qualification time. We will take plenty of breaks during the day and will include a 30-45 minute lunch break, you can bring a lunch or there are options near the range if you want to travel out for lunch. In the event you are unable to attend your scheduled class date and you have contacted the Instructor in advance, your deposit will be moved to an alternate available class date.

Special Note: The North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun class is not a basic shooting instruction class. There is an expectation that someone taking the CCH class has had at least some handgun shooting experience.

A firearm with ammunition is required for this class for use during qualification. If you do not have a firearm, one can be provided for you with ammunition for an additional $20.00 fee. Please do not bring your firearm or ammunition into the class room until told to do so by the Instructor.

Items you will need to bring for the class: An open mind, eye and ear protection (available for purchase at the range but are not the best), Snacks, Pen and Paper for note taking.

**Permit applications fees are separate and paid to the licensing authority (Sheriff’s Office) that will issue your permit**

Terms and Conditions of Training:

By registering for this class, You certify that: 1.) I am a US citizen at least 21 years of age, 2.) Have never been convicted of a felony, 3.) Have never been convicted of a misdemeanor that could have resulted in a sentence of one year (even if the sentence was not imposed), 4.) Am not currently subject to a restraining order (adult abuse order), 5.) Have not been convicted of a domestic violence offense, 6) Am not disabled by reason of the fact that I cannot handle my own affairs or are considered dangerous to myself or others, 7) Will abide by all gun safety rules at all times during the training, 8.) Acknowledge that I must be present for all components of the training or I will not be awarded the appropriate completion form if I fail to meet these requirements and, 9,) understand that training satisfies only the education portion of any concealed carry permit application process and does not guarantee I will be issued a permit by any State or political jurisdiction thereof.
